These terms apply to the Mountain Weather website and app. Mountain Weather is a trading name of SPATIAL TERRAIN LIMITED.
Forecasts are guidance
Mountain weather changes quickly and forecast data can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Our forecasts, scores, weather windows, inversion indicators, avalanche information and notifications are planning aids, not guarantees of conditions or safety. Check current official warnings and avalanche information where available, carry suitable equipment and use your own judgement before and during any trip.
Availability
We aim to keep Mountain Weather useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every notification will arrive. Saved information may become out of date when a device has no connection. We may change, suspend or withdraw features when reasonably necessary.
Third-party information and bookings
Some forecasts, maps, warnings, avalanche information, accommodation results and links come from third parties. Their own terms apply. Accommodation links may be affiliate links, which means SPATIAL TERRAIN LIMITED may receive a commission without increasing the price you pay. Availability, prices, booking terms and the accommodation itself are the responsibility of the relevant provider.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
You may use Mountain Weather for personal trip planning. You must not misuse the service, attempt to interfere with it, scrape it at a rate that harms availability, or present its output as guaranteed safety advice. Unless credited otherwise, the Mountain Weather design, text and software are owned by or licensed to SPATIAL TERRAIN LIMITED.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, SPATIAL TERRAIN LIMITED is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on a forecast as a guarantee, failure to check current conditions and warnings, a third-party service or booking, or use of Mountain Weather outside its intended purpose.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts with authority under applicable consumer law may hear any dispute. Questions can be sent to simon@mountainweather.co.uk.
